Cookies
FreeFiler beta uses essential cookies, signed-in analytics, and optional support replay.
FreeFiler uses essential cookies needed for sign-in, account security, and keeping you signed in while you use the service. These are currently provided through Clerk authentication.
We use PostHog analytics for signed-in users who have accepted the current terms. This helps Render see where beta users get stuck and whether the filing journey is working across FreeFiler and Render.
Detailed support replay is off unless you switch it on in the form support panel, and replay inputs are masked. It is there so support can understand what happened in an early filing session.
During beta, Render also keeps a short-retention internal interaction journal with structured form events such as checkbox choices, select/gate answers, validation state, and save or submit blockers. Exact sensitive filing values stay in Render's own filing systems, not PostHog replay. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies in this filing app.
During early beta, Render may also generate a short-lived Codex/OpenAI monitoring evidence link for a signed-in filing journey. This is used to check whether the filing path is working and to support early users; it is not used for advertising.
FreeFiler beta is operated by Render Technologies Limited.
